The Freaky Weather

I was walking down to the park when I heard a deep rumble in the sky.

“What the heck was that?” I yelled. I didn’t hear much for a few months after that.

After three months, it started raining every few days in the usually sunny Miami. But when the weather changed dramatically was after four months; it was raining every day. It got so bad that they had to close the beach because of really bad thunder storms every other day. I Googled why it was happening; it said that it was just all of the water that had built up since it last rained (which was ages ago) but I am slightly disappointed that it was so boring.

The Terrifying Thunder

While the bright light was reflected by the mirrored pool’s surface, the sun shone in my eyes. Just then, I knew had to go in the water.

After I splashed without caution, waves bumped into the edges causing the swimming pool to bounce like jiggling jelly but then the weather changed dramatically – roaring thunder spread across the sky.

I panicked. A lightning bolt struck down from the sky into the swimming pool; there was no escape. I tried to flee but the waves knocked me towards the electrocuted water.

Would I ever escape?

“Finally,” I sighed as I played in the pool,”there is nice weather.”

I was always getting squirted by my annoying little sister, Quinn. Once she had stopped squirting me, I sat down and took in all the beautiful sunshine. The golden sun faced down on me like a blanket of heat. After dinner – which was at 5:30 – it was still light so I went to the park with some of my friends:

  • Amber
  • Phoebe
  • Rachel S
  • Rachel N
  • Lily
  • and a few others.

After 35 minutes of playing at the park, I felt I had sunburn but then the weather changed dramatically. I jumped off the swing and me and my friends ran off in different directions.”Finally,”I sighed,”I was home.”

Little People vs Big People

On one summer morning, the Little People –  who were called Playful Preston, Jumping Justin and Moaning Matt – were all strolling to the “OLD SHIP” pub. While they were on their way, they heard a loud bang and sprinted to the scene.

When they arrived, the three lads gawped at a humongous egg which had been thrown by the evil gargantuan Big People. All of a sudden, someone began to scream like prey caught by a hunter.

“What on Earth is that noise?” moaned Matt like he always did. On closer inspection, Justin, Preston and Matt realised that someone was under the egg…

The Asteroid

“OI JOHN!” shouted Bill.” LOOK OVER HERE!”

As John started to walk, he asked Bill about whether he had heard the news that an asteroid had fallen to Earth. Bill looked confused because he just saw a big blob come out of the sky and just open.

When John reached this blob, he said that they had to fix it before someone got hurt. So they closed the whole road just so no-one saw the asteroid or whatever it was. It was half-fixed but it was not as reparable as they had both thought.

Dear Andrew Sesay,

I have recently been informed about the amazing work you do every day. I believe that you are an incredible, compassionate man who does anything he can to help people. I heard a story of one of your excellent rescues of a mother and her unborn child. In case you can’t remember,  I will recap it for you:

You were called to a house where a woman was in labour and the baby was in the wrong position…  so, knowing the dangers, you rushed her to hospital and performed a Cesarean on Mhanele who then went on to name her baby after you. However, that was not the only person; you have helped millions of pregnant women. You are an inspiration!

Yours sincerely,

Rachel S

Dear Andrew Sesay,

I am writing to you to say thank you for helping the pregnant women and their babies. You have helped many people.

You helped out people that were frightened to go to  the hospital in case someone had the disease – ebola. You have been trained to save people’s life and you saved many of them so I think you should have a pay rise.

Your life is very different to my life as you go out and help the world and I’m just finishing my last year at my primary school. Hope you carry on your amazing work,

Your sincerely,

Amber G

Dear Andrew Sesay,

After listening to what you do and where you work I think that its good you do this.I  have a few questions though.

Why did you decide to do this? How long did it take you to be fully-trained? When did you start thinking about this job? How were you inspired? If you were, who by? How much have you improved on your job?

I understand our lifestyles are very different and for you to do this I think anyone can do anything.

To conclude, I think you should carry on and I am very inspired.

Yours sincerely,

Caitlin

Dear Andrew Sesay,

I was really interested to hear what you are working  for and I want to congratulate you for your help to all of Sierra Leone’s women and other people. I know you are really good and I’d like to donate to you for your hard work (£250) so that you can see a lot better and get much better equipment. Also, I have asked all of my friends and colleges to donate to you because of ebola or other diseases. I’m so glad that you are helping and I hope you continue your work and get lots of donations and succeed at your career.

Your sincerely,

Ethan

Water Attack

“Harry!” called my dad. “Come help me!”

“With what?” I asked.

“The sink.”

As I jogged down the stairs, I noticed a drill on the floor and I immediately knew that dad was doing something to the pipes.

“AAAHHHH!!” my dad screamed. I ran into the kitchen to see my dad being sprayed in the face by water from the pipes; he tried to stop it but the water just kept gushing out.

“Oh my goodness!” I shouted through my laughter. “What happened?!”

“I don’t know!” he replied. “Go turn off the water supply!”

“How?!” I questioned. Before I could go anywhere, my mum turned off the water supply and stood in the doorway with her face red with anger.
